avenueK's new look
This the latest statement for avenue K, this Christmas and New Year, to be compared with the photo of the building some 3 years ago. The atrium now boasts an upgraded mall, with escalator leading up to the mezzanine floor, and museum quality ambience largely due to the white resin terrazzo used for the entire ground floor.04:45 Posted in avenueK | Permalink | Comments (1) | Email this | Tags: Architecture

What avenueK was
This a reminder of how avenue K looked like before ZLG worked on it. Note the open roof and the lift core in the atrium. This amazing photograph should be read together with the latest atrium views of avenue K elsewhere on this blog. Scary, but guaranteed to blow the mind away.

AvenueK
Avenue K is our most recent project, truly a collaboration of many designers, worldwide. One of our most sophisticated of all projects we have seen the talents of many designers from Japan, Hongkong, France and USA.
Enormous amount of detailing went into this project, amongst others, we have collaborated and developed cladding and fenestration working details akin to jewellery design for the podium facade and the K resinece Towers. The black ceilings in RAL 7038, each panel fabricated to fit like a time piece, adorn the soffit of this 12m high atrium. 80mm wide solid bar stainless steel handrails and white resin terrazzo are among the select finishes used to define the unusual museum quality ambience of this extraordinary retail space. Built by Leightons International, we saw the completion of this podium under 20 months of construction.
